• Poems must not have been previously published, won an award or be currently entered in another competition
• Poems, in English and not exceeding 40 lines, should be printed or typed on one side of the paper only, and are not returnable
• The author's name must not appear on any poem
• Entry fees are £3 per poem or 4 for £10
• Entries must be received by Saturday 12th May 2012
• Copyright remains with the poet
• An Awards Ceremony will take place at the Northampton Guildhall on Thursday 21st June 2012 at 7.00 pm, and the winning poems will be posted on the NLG website
